Library Facilities & Services

  • APIIT library is a gateway to a comprehensive collection of resources to support the Institute's teaching, learning and research programmes. There are two libraries, one at the city campus premises and the other at Access Towers.
  • APIIT Library provides a comprehensive range of core material for all subjects taught within its current curriculum. These include Recommended and Additional reading, relevant print journals and CD Rom References and Students' Projects. In addition, students will be provided with access to online digital libraries through the Staffordshire University through Athens.

Operating Hours

  • Main Labrary - Monday – Friday - 8:30 a.m - 7:00 p.m (Library Counter will be closed at 6:00 p.m.)
  • Saturday - 8:30 a.m - 1:00 pm
  • Law Library - Monday to Friday - 8.30 a.m To 6.00 p.m
  • Kandy Library -Monday to Friday- 8.30 a.m To 5.00 p.m
  • Library at Access Towers and APIIT Kandy are closed on Saturdays.
  • All three libraries are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays
  • The libraries are closed for stock checks with prior notice on a single Saturday in March, June, September and December. Operating times may change without prior notice at the discretion of the management.

Membership

  • Membership of the library is granted to all students (full-time and part-time) who have paid their registration fee, course fee together with the fully refundable library deposit.

General Membership Rules

  • The library management reserves the right to suspend or terminate the library membership of any individual who does not adhere to Rules and Regulations set down by the library.
